Cellar Dwellers Comedy Troupe Celebrates 15 Years: November 2, 2012

In 1997 a group of Beaver County artists, actors, writers, and
musicians formed a comedy troupe, the Cellar Dwellers, in the damp basement of a building on Brighton Avenue in Rochester. 15 years,
dozens of cast members, hundreds of sketches, and thousands of improv games later, and the Dwellers are still going strong. This Friday,
November 2nd, they're celebrating all of this with a big 15th
Anniversary Show at their theater on the third floor of the Beaver
Valley Bowl in Rochester! The show will feature over 2 hours of short form improv games, short films from the Dweller archives, and
storytelling with troupe veterans and alumni. Stick around, because
after the show there will be a reception at a nearby bar!

The deadline for the Laughing Skull Festival in Atlanta (November 1st - after that submissions go up by $20!) is quickly approaching. It's a great opportunity for talent to prove themselves while getting great exposure.

The list of industry that attends grows each year. In the past, its included Ann Harris and Joann Grigioni from Comedy Central, Dan Pasternack from IFC, David Willis from Adult Swim, Samata Narra from Fox, Steven Brown from Fox, Michael Cox from Chelsea Lately, Eddie Brill from the Late Show, Jeff Singer from the Montreal Comedy Festival, Peter Rosegarten from the Conversation Company, Brian BaldingerJosh Lieberman from 3 Arts, TJ Markwalter from Gersh, etc. Margaret Cho, Gary Gullman, Chris Titus, Jim Florentine, and Robert Kelly have headlined, and there is always a ton of press. A best of package plays on Sirius/XM, and our festival albums have been featured on the front page of iTunes. And the prize package includes money and a ton of club work.
