Republicans are nearly giddy about rising gas prices. That's because now that the economy is showing small signs of recovery, the GOP is grasping at anything they can blame on Obama. They have no plan to fix the economy or create new jobs, just a plan to get rid of Obama.

Come on, people. We already had several perfectly good North Shore Connectors. They're called BRIDGES! Why did we need to spend $523 Million of taxpayer money on this tunnel to nowhere? This is Pittsburgh, the football stadium would be full even if the bridges weren't there. As for PNC Park ... no fancy subway can save attendance if the Pirates keep putting up losing seasons. The Casino, you say? Yes, let's help taxpayers take whatever money they have left and blow it at the Casino. Why couldn't we have put the money toward rather connecting Oakland to downtown or a high-speed train to the airport?
