The Allegheny County property reassessment fight is very confusing. I don't understand why the state can't create a standardized assessment policy that would eliminate the need to revisit this issue every year or so.
Google is now tracking our every move. They see you when you are sleeping, they know when you're awake, they know if you've been bad or good ... and they probably know that you are reading this blog right now. Who needs the NSA when you've got Google?
Raising fares and cutting routes is not a solution to the ongoing transit nightmare. It only hurts the people who need a public transit system the most. Taxpayers should demand that Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Port Authority work together to come up with a lasting solution. Smaller cities than Pittsburgh seem to be able to fund their buses and trains. Why can't we?
