The Citizens United ruling by the Supreme Court reinforced the power of money in political campaigns. It basically ruled that money is equal to free speech. This is, of course, ridiculous. It turns democracy on its head by taking the power away from the individual voter and giving it to the Super Pacs and rich corporations. It is nothing more than political class warfare.
