I began working on these three animations (Ascent of Man, I'm a Little Tea Party and Obama Meets the Economy) back in the summer thinking I could roll out one a month starting in October. Naturally, everything took longer than imagined and there were more than a few technical setbacks. That said, they all came together in the final weeks of 2011 and I present them to you here as a sort of year-end mini animation festival.
All of these animations were put together by creating hand-drawn cels, shooting them with a digital camera, importing the images into DigiCel Flipbook (animation software) and then importing the clips into iMovie. The soundtrack was recorded in Garage Band.
I owe a huge thanks to Jared Miller (my producer, editor and all-around go-to guy) and Chris Kuhner (my animator) for their tireless work on these projects. I could not have done it without them.
