The U.S. Postal Service is making more cuts that will slow mail service down even more. What a shame. Now I'll have to wait longer to receive those piles of junk mail and advertising circulars.

The recent uses of pepper spray by a UC Davis campus policeman and a Walmart customer on Black Friday have created a new buzz around this method of crowd control. Both cases, in my opinion, were examples of excessive force, although one could argue that Black Friday is tantamount to war. Either way, I can think of many people more worthy of receiving some pepper spray in the face.
