On Sept. 20th, 2011, the discriminatory military policy known as Don't Ask Don't Tell was finally and officially reversed. The policy, enacted by Congress in 1993, forced gay, lesbian and bisexual enlisted personnel to hide their true identities. So, it was OK for them to risk their lives defending the freedoms of this country, but not OK for them to exercise those same freedoms. Sad, sad, sad.
