The flash flood on Friday that claimed four lives is being called a freak accident. Maybe no one is truly to blame for this sad loss of life, but some questions remain. A similar flood on July 18 made it clear that this section of road was a flood hazard and yet no precautions were taken. PennDot, Alcosan and PWSA are all saying they can't explain how it happened. None of those organizations (or the Mayor's office for that matter) are taking responsibility for the problem. That just isn't good enough.
This cartoon doesn't need much explanation. I wanted to comment on the crackdown in Syria and the U.S. response and how it differs from our response to Libya. I considered drawing a cartoon showing Assad and Gadhafi (good crackdown, bad crackdown) but that seemed flat. Two drones talking seemed much funnier to me.
