The popular rating agency Standard & Poor's has downgraded the U.S. credit rating. This is ironic since the S&P's idotic ratings for the toxic mortgage assets helped get us into this trouble in the first place. That, said, they decided to downgrade us for our dysfunctional debt ceiling fights. I can't say I blame them for that.
